Hello everyone and welcome to Issue #30 of Cargobike Culture!
This week’s newsletter is a short one as we’re about to head to Scotland for our autumn vacation. Unfortunately, we’re not biking but we are taking the train to London, and then the sleeper train up to the Highlands!
I’ll be in Inverness next week hiking, marathon training and doing some interviews for this lil’ol newsletter. I’m excited to learn how people are using cargobikes on actual hills (something I have zero experience with here in Utrecht).
There won’t be an issue next week. BUT, I have a really interesting piece coming up on that funky looking Cannondale cargobike I covered a few weeks ago.
A few days ago I was lucky enough to speak to Cannondales’ global head of industrial design (and cargobike fan), and the product manager for the new Wonderwagon Neo. We talked all about the design process the team went through, and how their new cargobike’s unique design came to be.
I learnt a lot of interesting things, so hopefully I’ll have it written up in a couple of weeks.
More cargobikes on cars
Our American cousins really can’t stop putting cargobikes onto of their cars. I spotted another one this week on the r/cargobikes sub-reddit.
The International Cargobike Festival
This years conference in Amsterdam is only 6 weeks away. Are you going to be there? Let me know in the comments below and maybe we could organise a CBC meetup.
Have a great trip, look forward to seeing what you find up there!
